I have a ti-83 and a parallel cable.  Whenever I try to upload something to
my calculator with w32trans8x it goes very slow, sometimes taking 6 minutes
or more.  This never happened with Cal.

Unfortunately, cal doesn't seem to work with my 83, thus forcing me to use
w32trans8x.

Anyone know if there is a solution?
