I never saw a need for a transistor in the piezo circuit... It's loud enough
without one. This is mainly a response to Grant. As for the beeping, that's
pretty odd... never had that happen, but then again, I never tried sound on
my 83, only my 82 and 85. As it is, I think there would be a better use for a
waveform format than a beep format. Beeping is nice for background music in a
game (and would ROCK if finally implemented in a game properly), but how often
are you going to play the equivalent of a MIDI file on your 83? If you want
to show off, try an 85 w/ PlayWav... gets them every time.
