Yep, all of the calculators speak the same TI protocol. As far as I know
the E2 will work with the TI-89 as well, when the Fargo II drivers are
ported.

I'm doing the PCB layout in Protel98 (-AWESOME- EDA program, I wish they
had
a lower priced hobbyist version, because their demo expires in 30 days)
Its
1" by 2.25" right now, with a little space left over for some text. By
the
way that is SMALLER than the old Extender uP PCB and the E2 has even
more
stuff on it. It'll easily fit into a Radio Shack ~3x2x1" case, I think,
with
a 9V battery.

I'm still making some final changes to the layout, since I made three E2
PCBs
but neither of them are acceptable in my opinion. The last one I
actually
put parts on, but it isn't working so well. I'm going to have to look
over
the layout to check for errors. Check your e-mail, I'm considering
getting
a small run of PCBs made. If you can fit the MMOD design into about the
same space, I'll gladly consider making it the de-facto way all
subcontracted
E2s are built. I want to keep it as small but modular and buildable as
possible.

My policy about firmware upgrades is basically as follows... I'll reburn
your
chip for free, regardless. If the upgrade is from a bug that was my
fault,
I'll pay the return shipping myself. If its just a new revision with
more
features, then you'll have to pay for the shipping.
