Yes of course there is! Direct Bus access! You solder 8 wires to the 
data bus, 16 to the address bus and a few control lines and clock, and 
you have a great way to control stuff. the catch, it's dificult to run 
30 wires out of the calc. You could have a 34 pin header on the side of 
the calc and modify the sliding cover to still fit. All I can say is, 
it's the best, and the most dificult way to interface the TI-85.
