RE: TI-H: new schematic



One last thing.  How small is the IR link?  I want to put the whole thing in one box in order to scale down the overall design.  Of course, this is only because I already have a parallel link that works well enough.
Also, have you tested range and the like with this yet?
And this really looks like a SPinterface project, seeing as it needs 5v input to run.  Can anything be done to step that down?
Finally, you may have set the basis for a new TI-modem setup by converting to RS232.

The manufacturer for Tx and Rx is SHARP. I don't know where the data sheets
are on the web. If I find them I will let you know. If  can't find them I
will scan in and post the ones that I have. I will also be changing the Maxim
RS-232 driver to a DS275 from Dallas Semiconductor. It will aid in ease of
wiring. You may want to go ahead and do this if your going to build one.
