RE: TI-H: We need a FAQ!

uhhhh, you might want to lay off of the ASCII art. I know it looks nice, but on a windows system, it's more than an annoyance, it's illegible.

Yep! I did say that and I'll hold to it.

How does this format look...

Submissions of actual FAQs and formats would be welcome. I will work on
it Saturdays or Sundays, since I work week days. I could Get a GeoCities
account and set up the e-mail address as a hotmail account or the list
if it's possible. I would let the password for the FAQ out on the list
so if you have the skills, you can add info yourself. If the e-mail
address for the geocities account were a separate hotmail account, then
that password would be released too. The e-mail account is only to get
the password, or if someone is willing to relay the pasword to the list,
no email account would be required. The only purpose is to get the
password and geocities info. If I assemble it, I will give instructions
for updating it, because I can get it started, but I may not be able to
keep updating it forever, so the responsibility may fall on others
someday. I will add instructions for updating it, so it will be
updatable by the people posting the FAQ.

I may just get it started and have the instructions so you can add the
rest of the parts yourselves, but I can make a very nice looking format.

We need a standardized file naming system, so we don't get confused
naming things, so if we have Topics and Items, the actual file name for
the Piece of the FAQ should be something like 1_1 or 1_2 or 4_3 (I
don't think they allow period (.)). This will make the naming simple.
The format for the topic list would be:

<A HREF="1_1" target=MainFrame>1.1 Purpose of this FAQ<A>

I'm not certain, but you can add your FAQs to the big FAQ by opening the
List file and just coping and pasting and changing the file name and the
item name.

Let me know what you think.
