I believe the IR link is a whie laway.  First the signals get messed up too
easy and they have to be perfect in order for teh 92 to recieve them.  The
answer is a long cord to the IR and have in 'protecxted from other things. 
The first IR could be a simple 1 foot non cord transmission.
