I think I've said this a few (dozen?) times before...

But you should NOT use ANY 78* regulator in your SPinTerface. You need
to use a low drop out regulator from National... I hope you didn't
order those 78L05s yet since they are just as bad as the 7805.

Get a TO-92 regulator from NatSemi... they don't cost more than the
78L05s and are much nicer parts.
