Couldn't you create a small one tone one frequency radio sender like is used for morse (sp?) code? Have it on when you want to send a one and off for a zero? You cpould build two one for red and one for white set them on diffrent frequencies and have a reciver to pull the wires to ground at the appropriate times on the other end? Anyway it's just an idea.
