I'm not really sure. All I know is that we use degrees
in school right now. Haven't used radians yet.

A simple example:

If I want to calculate the hight of a right triangle and know
one of the sides and the degree of one of the angles.


   |\    (m)
   | \
  x|  \
   |   \
   |___(\ 45 degrees
     3

Gives us: x = 3 * tan 45 = ~4.86 m
