not exactly, but something like that.
if you have it in, and dont have a program or a shell running, the calc (86
at least) assumes it's a link, and checks the port like once a second or so,
causing you to not be able to do anything durring that time. it is possible
to do stuff with the headphones in, just you have to do it durring an opening
(in other words, press whatever it is you want until it pops up), or just
have a shell open before putting in the headphones
