First I must tell you that my "english" isn't very well... Sorry

"By hand" I get -.82 by this way :

f(x)= sin^2x-2sinx-2
I want to find a root (when x=0)(is it this word ??) between
-pi/2 and pi/2.

I replace sin x by X.

I have X^2-2X-2 This is a polynomial, where DELTA=12.

I find X1 and X2 I have X1 = sinx and X2 = sinx.

I find that only one root is contained in the interval.
