btw: there are an infinite number of answers for the problem.  

the only way you could have gotten -.79 is if you squared x and not
the sin of x.
i mean, you probably typed sin x^2 which the calc evaluated at sin
(x^2).  according to what you said below, you wanted (sin x)^2.

how did you get the -.82?
