You have a point there...Next time, snip the chain part, and I won't be
so harsh on you :-)
No, actually we're not allowed to send chain letters from the department
(I signed some rules once, I even think it was between them ?!), and I
get a bunch every now and then. The reason for my loud reaction here was
that we just this week had a couple of postings about the fact that
chain letters should be deleted. The problem is, gullible (some prefer
superstitious ;-) people actually believe the "good luck/fortune/sex
life/you-name-it" bit of the letter, and readily spreads five extra
copies, to the effect of:
5 -> 25 -> 125 -> 625 -> 3125 -> ... *ARGH*

So...that was why. :)
