Try this:

:InputStr temp
:Str>Eq(temp,y1)
:FnOff
:FnOn y1
:DispG

or
:InputStr temp
:Str>Eq(temp,temp)
:DrawF temp

The arguments to StrEq might be reversed.  Good Luck!
