Title: RE: Graphing for the TI-89

Use the solve( function to solve for the halfs respectivally.
Define y1(x)={Top Half}
Define y2(x)={Bottom Half}

Remember, the TI-89 can graph FUNCTIONS. A Circle is NOT a function, but 2 functions in the form of an EQUATION.

And Chris, Try: SOLVE((x-h)^2+(y-k)^2=r^2,y)
and STO> the values into H,K,R.

good luck,
7ony

Subject: Graphing for the TI-89

Hey guys how would I graph an equation for a circle: (x-h)^2+(y-k)^2=r^2?
cause for math we have to graph that equations w/ the following values;
(2,-3) for the h and k value and then 5 for the r value.   When I enter that
into my calc it says   "ERROR Undefined variable" then it says "Define
y^2(x)=(x-2)+(y+3)=25"  How would I graph it?
