I live in California also (Santa Rosa) and they are selling 89s in my
college's bookstore.  Only a couple people have one so far because all the
math classes are taught on 85s and 92s and you're expected to have one of
those for the classes.  The teachers are all very familiar with the TI-85s
and 92s and know how to use them well, unlike my previous school.

When I'm in Calculus next semester I may get an 89 or 92.
