Only get the 83 if you'll be taking stats classes.  The 83 has the best
stats of _any_ ti calculator.  Otherwise the 86 is a good choice, but
the adv. stats program can crash when used with other asm programs (I
emailed them, there may be a fix), and it doesn't give you everything a
83 has anyway.

Oh yeah, if you hate looking at the manual, you may want an 83, as your
teachers can use them but probably not an 86 or 89.
