My serial link works fine with every program I've tried

Sure, it works when the file is less than 64Kb and I've got no clue why it
doesn't when it's greater than 64Kb. Looking at the file structure it should
work, but my experience shows it doesn't.

No, but one of them - maybe that's the reason why my link works with any
program?

Depends on your definitiion of 'good'; WTran32 8x v. 3 is very user
friendly - lacks only drag'n'drop and editors.
Connect-85 is very good too. It's an 85 program, but you can use it when
transfering 85 files to your TI-86. It has build-in string, list, matrix,
program, picture... editors.
Someone please make a Connect 86:-)

The program? Wouldn't tell you if I had since it's illegal - TI would sue
you if you published it.
The cable? Yes, it has a build-in PIC making it expensive to build.
