When did you buy it? What is the copyrite in the instruction manual? If
you bought it lately, and it is copyrited in 1998, it may be a faulty
calc. This has been a common problem, there is no way that I know of to
fix it, other than return it for a replacement. This problem has been
going around our school on all the new calculators. Most will recover
after you remove the batteries, but a few never come back.
