Try:
  u^2 = e^x - 3

Now:
  2 u du  = e^x dx

and we get the problem to be

  s  u * 2u/(u^2+3)*du.

Take the 2 out front, collect/simplify, do long division, hope to get an
inverse tangent form anti derivative.
