86\83 sf expander

Hi all,
I talked with Mel and asked him if he would release any source
code to be fed through hal. He responed...

>Well I won't be publicly releasing the source code for either, sorry.
>Just too much to protect. It's not for selfish reason's, it's because
>severe data corruption can result if you use a tampered version of the
>expander driver software.

>While I haven't heard of this "HAL", I can tell you now that it will
>still require significant tinkering with the source for it to convert.
>It's also my understanding that no one has been able to access the
>TI-83's link port correctly, and link port access is vital.

>These are just a couple of MANY problems of porting the ESF driver
>software to other calculators...

>-Mel

If anyone would like to try to make an sf driver for the 83/86 your
basicly one your own unless you could get some help from Mel. I wish you
the best of luck.
