The STATistics summer institute is a one week course designed to help
teachers of mathematics make better use of technology in their math
classes. The course will feature the use of the TI-83 but will also use
the new TI-86, CBL and TI GraphLink and internet access technology.

The institute is co-sponsored by Texas Instruments, Inc and is based on
materials designed by a team of STAT instructors, led by Drs Frank Demana
and Bert Waits of The Ohio State University. The course instructor will be
Carolyn Canfield from New Jersey. Three quarter hours of graduate credit
are available at a cost of $105.
Pay credit costs when you arrive(Cash/check/plastic).

Thanks to a generous grant, the basic cost share will be $175. Also, a
TI-83 ViewScreen calculator will be available at a special grant price.
Your school will be asked to pay all costs from Eisenhower monies or other
funds. The "Power of Visualization" should be available to all your
 students

Enrollment will be limited to 24 participants. We still have room for
three. Deadline for application is June 13. Contact:
