Somewhere on Mel's webpage it talks about that. It transfer rate is too slow from the expander to the calculator for programs to be run off it, but I don't really see why that would be a problem. Just transfer the program to the calculator first. Or if its really big just transfer the parts you need to run at a specific time to the calc.
