COM1 is not always the modem.  Through my CMOS, I can set the serial
ports to any COM port I want.  I currently have serial port 1 as COM1,
and I connect my mouse to it.  I have serial port 2 as COM3, which is
currently vacant.  I have nothing on COM2, and my modem is on COM4.
        Just remember not to use the things on COM1 and COM3, or COM2 and COM4,
at the same time; otherwise, they will conflict.  1 and 3 use the same
IRQ, and 2 and 4 use the same IRQ, so you can't use both in the pair at
the same time.  That means that I can't use my mouse if I connect the
Graph Link.
