A pre-translator is certainly more feasible than an on-calc emulator, but it
would still work only with the simplest of programs (almost certainly no
games) simply due to the calculator differences. The translator would not know
what the program is trying to do when it sees the program writing to certain
memory locations, and would be unable to convert most programs.

Couldn't someone make a shell for the 86 that would serve as some type of a
translator for ZShell games.  For example when there is a ROM call the
shell would read the call and then make the appropiate call on the 86.
