Uh, actually, that's not correct. No Visual Basic runtimes are included
with Windows 95, especially for version 1.0 (unless your computer comes with
a package like the age-old Microsoft Entertainment Pack included, which uses
some version of VBRUN) The obvious solution would be to use a decent
programming environment like Borland Delphi which compiles programs which in
most cases don't need seperate, large DLLs. Delphi programs are also quite
a bit faster....
Of course, the authors of HAL mentioned they got VB1 for free which I guess
can't really be beat...

Your ignorance astounds me =). vbrun100.dll is included with windows 95,
as well as several other vb runtimes. If you have windows 3.1, well, you
probably have it too =). I never said it came with the software, but I'd
have to say that less than 1% of the PC (Notice that word/acronym right
there!) world is without it, therefore inclusion of the file will basically
be worthless to the common user.
