We don't need another HAL - just a BETTER HAL!

I read an email earlier about another HAL type basic to asm compiler.
But that is totally unnecesary. I would love to use hal more but there
just isn't enough documentation and examples to learn from. If the
writers could add more notes and examples on the commands that are for
hal and the regular asm commands I think everyone would benefit from
that. Just even explaining the simple things like; what are
registeres? what is 'hl', why do so many things have to be loaded?,
and WHERE CAN I GET A LIST OF THE COMMANDS AND WHAT THEY DO!! There
are many people, including me, that don't have a clue on how to begin
to understand asm programming. HAL will help alot but it is only a
start. Please, someone write some very, very basic documents
explaining how asm is run and what all these diffrent calls, push,
load, pop, addr stuff is. So maybe all us 'dummies' can at least
program some small programs. We need an "ASM and HAL for dummies"
book.
