Just do this:

Buy a 25 pin male D-plug w/ hood, a stereo wire (with 3.5mm plugs on
both sides.), and a 3.5mm -> 2.5mm stereo adapter. Just put some
unnoticable electrical tape around the adapter.

Radio Shack does not sell 2.5mm stereo plugs.
