On my Ti-85 Y1=(2x^2+3x+5)(5<x<10) will graph the whole parabola.  I t will not correctly limit the graph to values of x from 5 to 10.
Y1=(2x^2+3x+5)(5<x and x<10) or Y1=(2x^2+3x+5)(x>5)(x<10) will both give just that part of the graph from x = 5 to x = 10.

wnc is right.  In my experience, if you try the above, the calc will
evaluate ((5<x)<10).
