I have to make three comments here.
A) This newsgroup is for discussing calculators, and the relative merits
of those calculators are suitable material. Especially if someone is
considering buying one.
B) What the heck does "Jap crap" mean in this context? There are few
companies more American than Texas Instruments and Hewlett Packard.
Texas Instruments is a defense contractor, for gosh sakes. I'm not
saying the U.S. Government wouldn't hire Japanese contractors. I'm
saying that a major computer defense contractor is not likely to sell
out.
C) I'm sixteen and I've been making 30 bucks an hour fixing computers
since I was fourteen, which puts a TI-92 at a mere 8 hours work. Most of
the people on this newsgroup, like me, buy their calculators with the
fruit of their own toil. After all, few parents are willing to spend
hundreds of dollars on calculators :) The point is, I dislike the
implication that everyone here is a freeloading nerd.
