OK, i think i figured out that macxw4.drv is the driver for my monitor, so
the error had nothing to do with DirectInput since it worked from the
get-go. could this be a compatibility problem? I just realized that it's
christmas (12:41a where i am) and im worried that my emulator isn't working.
i guess i have my priorities straight! anyhoo, i checked the properties and
it was created Friday, February 06, 1998 4:39:50 PM and last modified
Monday, March 24, 1997 11:46:16 AM. Yes! it was modified before it was
ever created! But that's not all! No! I checked other files on my computer
and realized that they're all that way! _all_ my files where modified
before they were created! Is this a general problem with win98, or is it
just my copy? somebody please confirm this. btw, i found one file that was
last modified in the future (2000 to be exact) but this has nothing to do
with my problem (i don't think) im gonna try and contact ATI for an updated
version... in teh meantime, any input would be helpful... I know ive been
talkting to myself most of the night, except for that one smart-ass (BG :-)
but i think im done for now. gonna wait for santa and see if he got my my
playstation.
