No.  I believe the standard policy (you'll have to call 1-800-TI-CARES for all
the details) is that if you find a defect for which there is no workaround, and
it hinders your day-to-day operation of the calculator, then we will replace
your ROM.  This problem has a very simple workaround, and that is to not use
the variable itself when defining the function.
