Those .dat files are already included in the torus demo file torus.92p
(note you also need (linelib.92p).  .dat is no particular format, just the
binary data Jimmy M†rdell used for a sine table, points, and line
information.  At some point in torus.asm there are 3 lines with the
"incbin" directive which tells the assembler to include the binary data in
a file directly into the compiled program.
