Very good idea =)
The gray cables are very, very bad -- they use the old version of the "head"
part of the cable that inserts into the linkport; the little gold cap on the
end very often comes loose, causing erratic transfer errors, and eventually
comes off and gets stuck in the linkport, and the calc must then be sent
into TI for repairs (actually, they give you a reconditioned calc). Not
cool.
The black cable is much easier to hook up (newer type of serial connector)
and does _not_ break and screw up both your graphlink and linkport. And
it's only $10-$15, depending upon where you find it. Trust me, that's more
than worth the reliability.
It'd be nice if you could get the ticalc.org CD-ROM, but I doubt they'll be
including that for a while.
