Don't quite understand your triangles.  Let's cut this
down to 1d and show you what I'm talking about.

Generator A has a pull of 9 units of force at 1 unit
of distance away that recedes to 1 unit at 9 units
of distance away.  Generator B has a pull of 5 units.  
Numbers are units of force, each character is one
unit of distance

Separate:
0000123456789A98765432100
0000000000123B32100000000

Together:

0012468B02468A98765432100

Note the safe zone where the forces cancel each other
out right next to B.

Now, this isn't mathematically accurate.  Gravity
dissipates at the square of distance, not linearly like
I have.  But the bubble is still there.
