heh, I have thousands of unread mail in Outlook Express.
(lots of mailinglists that I don't care for much anylonger and such)
100 mails in a week is nothing.
subscribe to a few lists and you'll get several hundreds a day.
My guess is that your system was unstable even before you tried to download
mails and the amount of mail wasn't really the big thing, but something
else, that made your mailreader crash. Or maybe you got one mail (from asm89
or somewhere else) that crashed your reader. OE tries to be "smart" and
stuff when reading mail, and is therefore vulnerable for malformed mail.
