RE: A89: Me distributing roms.

Again, Physically Impossible. Nothing you can do will make that modem
recieve that much data / second. When you download multiple files in
getright at the bottom it will give you the k/s downloading. HOWever, what
you dont see is that it's horribly inaccurate, I started 35 downloads
simultaneously. Each file was averaging 100 bytes per second yet getright
told me I was downloading at over 45k/s. The only way to actually check it
to get a program such as AtGuard to monitor the physical amount of data your
recieving.
It's not like this is a misconfiguration, the damn modem will only recieve
that much data No more. And if it somehow got zaped in a serge and got more
it'd only be 3 more bytes per second and then that'd be the max the phone
lines would give you. And if the phone lines failed to phaze you the isp
would not transmit more than the 53kbps to you.
Past that it'd even be unlikely that many sites like geocities give you more
than 8 to 10k/s

And if somehow all that doesn't slow you down I want the name of your isp
and your city!

I checked the file size and kept track of long it took, and it came out
averaged about 11K/s. btw, I was using getright and was downloading
multiple
files at once, and took the total of all
