that's odd. It's problebly just a jump and it measured incorrectly, few
programs will accurately report your throughput unless that's what it was
designed for. but your not recieving 13k/s (I dont care about KkkKKkkK@@@!)
your recieving a compressed file that's the equivalent of 13k at 4k/s

what about compression, maybe that file was well compressed.  I've had
13KB/s
and i have a 33.6k modem.  I may never have gotten over approx. 4000 bytes
per sec., but when I got it, it uncompressed into approx. 13000 bytes and
was
calculated as such.
