I havn't had any problems with this.
I usally change to 160 pixel wide screen, and can then use the rest of the
screen-ram as buffer or whatever.
I have also made the screen more narrow then it is.. (that is less than 160
pixel wide) And I have never seen any of this problem you talk about..
The only problem is that VTI doesn't support it of some reason.
(Rusty refuses to talk to me it seems)
