you can find old roms at my site http://alh.dhs.org/ti89/ also.
I checked that new file format, and it looked like it was the standard tib with
just a bunch of copyright crap in the beginning.  I deleted all that, and
renamed it to .tib, and then It showed up as "TI-89 version 2.01 (update)" in
the rom-chooser menu at least.  But when I tried to run it, the emulator
crashes.
That can mean (at least) 2 things.
1. There is more to the new fileformat.
2. It only runs on HW2.0

So my question is, is your calc hw1 or hw2?
