Well, I agree that the 89 is a calculator, and I'm sure that it's not
meant for intenert usage.
That said, I believe that it would be a great learning experience. In
developing embedded applications it is wonderful to have a reference,
such as tcp/ip stack, that works. Better than that is if I develop one
for such a lowly device as a calc, I'm much more equipped to handle
making one for any other device (higher or lower.)
If you are personally opposed to people doing a project like this, then
perhaps you can simply consider it a learning experience. I'm sure that
with you knowledge, you might be able to help from time to time. I
think you will find having a working tcp/ip stack for the 68k will be
invaluable for you if you go into embedded application designing.
