I would say you have a HW1 calc with a different bootloader then the other HW1
calcs. Maybe TI tried to solve all their problems with HW1 with just changeing
the bootloader, and then, realized that they couldn't fix it all with just that,
and released another HW-version.
I have still not seen a HW2 calc, and noone has yet wanted to send me a scan of
one, But my personal guess is that they don't differ much, and most of the
difference is in the chip U8, wich is a chip with programmable logic, that
handles flashprotection and stuff like that.
about the free flash. The difference between 720884 and 1024*704 is only 12
bytes. 704k is 11 pages.
probably thoose 12 bytes is some kind of reserved bytes, or they are bad bytes
that you cant use.
I think more of the first alternative. anyway, it isn't much to talk about :)
