Are there any useful programs that use the archive command? If so, this may
not be a great method. Of course, I'd rather be safe than sorry. You could
also use an emulator to see if the program will damage the calculator. 

I was the one who asked about making either and on-calculator virus scanner
or possibly a small .exe scanner for a PC. More people whould be inclined
to use a scanner that's on their calculator. Maybe a scanner built into a
shell could happen.
