A89: When will the "bug zapper" ROM be released?
With all this talk of bugs in the BASIC interpereter and the fact that
as far as I can tell, the TI-89 does not actually physically exist (no
one seems to sell them), I'm going to wait for a hard ROM update from
TI before I buy.
The whole release of the '89 has bugged me... TI seriously crippled
its marketability by "releasing" it so late in the calculator buying
season. Plus the only people who seem to carry it are places a
thousand miles away -- and I'm only an hour from a Fry's Electronics
so I'm not exactly in the isolated lands o' tundra.
I really like my HP DeskJet and Casio MIDI keyboard... ahem... ahem...
On another note, with the flash ROM system, is it conceivable that we*
could come up with our own ROMs? That would be cool, even if it was
only so we could say we did it... :-)
