USB is IEEE 1394, and before it was called USB, it was called Serial SCSI
because it is similar (multiple devices on one bus), except that SCSI is
parallel. In response to another question, my mom just bough a new Pentium
II, and it has an 9-pin and a 25-pin port on it. Some have two 9-pin ports,
but as far as I know, they all have two serial ports.
