A89: The power of basic!

Well I got my 89 from calculators inc last Thursday and I love it so far. I only
have one problem: The power of basic. I have an 80, 83, and 85 and the basic on
those are not very powerful. But I've started programming the 89 in basic and
the thing that I've noticed is just how powerful basic is. Today I make a great
program that can keep track of all of your homework (it uses the menu and
everything). So what is the problem you say? You can make powerful program in
basic, so what? There is a down side to the power of basic. After I finished my
program and I was at the home screen of my program and hit F1 (to open the
'file' menu) and then I pressed '4' (this quits the program) and the calculator
crashed! I've never had a basic program crash on me before! I had to remove
every battery in my calc (including memory) to reset everything. But before this
the home screen was displayed but there was no command line! The only keys that
would produce any reaction was the modifier keys! No menus, dialog boxes or
anything. So I warn you to back everything up and that you must be careful to
back up your stuff or else. Even user data archive stuff was lost. TI, I hope
that you release a flash update soon. If I still had my progs I'd be happy to
