If you read the TI-89 Manual, you'll see that you use one key for lowercase
(alpha?) and one for upper case (<>?)

i was looking at a large picture of the ti-89 and i noticed that it has no
obvious way to change to lowercase writing.  do you use the up arrow once in
alpha or alpha-lock?
