if that doesn't work:

the only way i can think of to disable the on-key break is to install
your own interrupt handler that constantly clears the onInterrupt flag. 
you have to remember to clear the flag *after* you call the built in
interrupt routine, and you have to uninstall the interrupt handler at the
end of your program.
you also have to make sure the interrupt handler gets removed if an error
occurs in the program, so it should probably remove itself if homescreen
or an error context gets loaded.
