I am not certain about this, but I think that rather than using ROM calls to
install themselves they hacked the RAM locations and just loaded themselves
in.  I'm not sure if this leads to any problems or not, but given the
abundancy of pointers on page 0, it probably does lead to at least some
problems.

Also, I don't know if you're referring to this or not, but many ASAP
(including TI's) are not compatible with any ASM programs because the ASM
programs will overwrite their code. This gives the impression that the ASAP
has crashed (many times it will trash the MATH menu).
